Find out whats going on,
We are happy to present a cozy, winter songwriters’ circle with Abbey Mullendore, Steve Luxton, Thomas Stacjer and Tyler Mullendore at The Carleton on Thursday, February 8th. Show time is 7:30 PM and tickets are $25 + HST advanced/$30 + HST at the door.
Steve Luxton is a skilled musician (multi-instrumentalist) and recording engineer who writes, performs, records, and produces music in a wide variety of genres. Steve has played in a wide variety of musical groups, many of which he was a core writer, guitar player, and vocalist. When ever he is not in the studio or performing with a group, he can be found entertaining audiences as a solo acoustic musician in local pubs and private social gatherings/events.
Abby & Tyler Mullendore are a brother and sister duo from Inverness County in Cape Breton. Both are no strangers to the stage, Tyler was a Canadian Idol finalist and is now busy on the Halifax music landscape; Abby is a familiar voice with Boardwalk Productions, most recently performing as Janis Joplin for Woodstock this past August.
Thomas Stacjer is often likened in tone to John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, Lee Hazelwood or Gram Parsons, and draws from a wide range of musical influences to produce music that takes you on a journey. Sure it’s got the drinking and the heartbreak, but people are much more nuanced than that; we feel our way through it all. We’ve got conflicting voices pulling us toward rejection or acceptance, toward ignorance or vulnerability, toward redemption. Thomas tries to capture the moments that teeter on the edge – the ones that tell us who we are.
